JOINING. hello and thank you for considering us as your new home! Joining ~elenco is as simple as 1, 2, 3! All we ask is that you have a journal that reflects any variation of your celebrity's name, a recent friends only post that reflects the date you applied(this can be backdated) , and a contact post where you can be reached. As part of your application, we require two updates and two scenes. AIM is not required but is encouraged to further aid in your interactions with other members(games, movies nights, etc.).

Activity. Here at elenco, our update limit is 4 weeks. There is no minimum word limit, but we do encourage you to challenge yourselves and have something of your own writing in your celebrity's journal every month. As courtesy, and a reminder, nudges will be sent out when your celeb is at 3 weeks. This way, it reminds you a week before your update is due - giving you a week to put something together.

Hiatuses. Our 4 week update limit is pretty forgiving already. However, we understand more than anyone that sometimes life has a way of getting hectic and busy without an advanced warning and that can always get in the way of rp. If life gets too hectic, we are more than happy to accommodate you and your needs by granting you a hiatus! Just let us know ahead of time in the members post so we can make notes accordingly. While on hiatus, any form of public activity is not permitted. If you have time to make a comment here and there then a hiatus wasn't really needed and may be revoked. We can't monitor your custom activity, so if you wish to maintain a small form of activity privately, that's your call.

Extensions. In the event that you need a little extra time to come up with an update for reasons that don't warrant a hiatus, extensions are available! We can't stress the fact that we understand that life gets busy sometimes enough. RP is a hobby that's supposed to be fun, so don't stress if you think you may miss your update limit! Just pop in and let us know ahead of time so we can grant you an extension and give you more time to come up with something for your celeb. Extensions will expire one week after you are due for an update. If that is still not ample enough time, be sure to let us know so we can work with you!

Overrides. You have three days from the day you were added into the community to make an introduction in escrito. Failure to do so will put you at risk of being overridden by another person interested in bringing their celebrity to elenco. As a member of elenco, you are required to have something of your own writing in your journal every four weeks. If you fail to comply, this also puts you at risk of being overridden.

Golden Rules. We will not, under any circumstance, tolerate the crossing of the IC/OOC lines. These are to be respected at all times. Again, this is supposed to be fun. We won't stand for any sort of harassment here. We want to provide a fun and safe place for you to house your celeb. If you ever find yourself being harassed by another member, please do not hesitate in coming to us with whatever proof you can provide so we can put a stop to it. Plagiarism is grounds for removal. You are free to include quotes and lyrics in your updates as much as you please. But be advised that posting someone else's writing and claiming it as your own is not permitted.
